Query with SimGetJointForce

Post by antoronson »

Hello all
I have a query with the above command. I have a joint with max torque 15000. Thus, when the joint is moved to new position, I get the force for each time step as mentioned in picture. Why does there is a direction change when the force is acting on the same direction. There is no retraction movement. The joint moves from 0 degree to 30 degree. The picture is a part of the forces generated from 0 to nearly 30 time

Hello,

in what mode is your joint? If your joint is in position control, it will internally be regulated to move to and keep the desired position, which might involve some overshoots, etc. But this also depends a lot on what is attached to the joint, and what other external forces might be acting on it.

Cheers
