V-REP PRO EDU V3.6.2 rev0 windows installer quit

Post by kutawei »

I tried to install the newest 3.6.2 version on windows 10, but the installer quit in extracting files UI pop up, and no error or warning message. I've tried on different desktops and no luck. Maybe there is something wrong with the windows installer.

Indeed, the file was probably corrupt. I have uploaded a newer version.

I am having the same problem in installing version 4.1.0 edu on a Win10 system. QSetup shows files being extracted, but once done nothing happens.

Please try to download and use the binary package instead.

Thank you for the response. I gave up on using the Qsetup installer. How can I compile and get the binary to work? Thank you

You do not need to compile CoppeliaSim yourself. On Windows, you have two download options: the installer version, and the zipped version. Simply unzip, run vcRedist/vc2019redist_x64.exe, then you should be able to start CoppeliaSim without installation.
