Hello,

I would like simulate custom robot in V-rep. That reason I need some objects create in Autodesk 3Ds Max. I tried the geometry is correct when I import the .3DS file to V-rep. I tried the simple cube 4*4*4 cm in 3Ds Max and when I imported to V rep I get this:

In the same Screan I maked with V-rep the simple cube - I would like to add 4*4*4cm cube, but the cubes are different size.(I m using latest V rep)

I would like to ask where I get a problem?

Hello,

when exporting your mesh, make sure you select correct units. Normally, a CAD format doesn't include unit information.
So, if you read an obj file for instance, and you see 1.0, this could mean 1 meter, 1 cm, 1 inch, etc. It really depends on what units you used during the creating of your mesh and during export.

In V-REP, all API function, use standard units (the SI system). When you change the user interface units, this will not have any influence on the import operation. During import, you normally have a dialog that pops open that allows you to correctly scale the imported mesh.

Cheers

Thank You for the answer. Now is working, when I set up in the Autodesk your default unit. The problem was I changed units in Autodesk for centimeter .
