Hello,
The assembly model designed in Solidworks has 12 same parts, as I save it as STL file and import it to Vrep. In Vrep only 1 part exist, because they are same parts so they are only saved as 1 STL file. I don't want to import another same 11 parts because it's difficult to adjust their position in vrep. So is there a way I can easily import some same parts saved as STL files to Vrep?
Thanks.
import STL file
Re: import STL file
Hello,
as far as I know, STL files do not have the concept of objects, with position and orientation. As far as I know, a STL file only stores vertices and indices. Can you post that STL file here?
So why don't you save your whole Solidwork construction as a single STL file, that contains all 12 parts?
Cheers

Re: import STL file
I learned how to save assembly as a single STL file.
